About the Role:

This role will be based out of Cleveland, OH, and will be 100% remote (we do not currently have an office in this location) with the occasional travel to our San Francisco HQ. While this role is 100% remote, please expect to travel up to 30% of the time locally (within 2 hours of your location) and 30% nationally (with all travel costs covered by Augmedix).

Reporting directly to our Head of Global IT, our Network Engineering team balances the technical day to day responsibilities of network/wifi auditing, infrastructure management, and network architecture and administration, while being a resource to our clients across the US in a post-sales capacity. We are looking for a Network Engineer with a track record of success in engineering and implementation of network infrastructure. Our new team member should have a strong sense of commitment to excellence, be highly business-oriented, and focused on excelling in customer satisfaction. This role is highly collaborative, client facing, and fast paced.

Responsibilities (Included but not limited to):
  • Network architecture and administration
  • Communications (wiki, telephony, mail, etc) design and administration
  • Deep packet analysis using network tools (Sniffer/Wireshark)
  • Wifi Network Engineering a big plus (802.11x, PEAP, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz)
  • Support corporate users and the help desk as Tier 2 and Tier 3
  • Mentor junior members of technical support staff, in real-time and scheduled hands-on sessions
  • Educate members of adjacent departments as to how the IT systems relate to what they do (Explain complex technical theories and systems in a non-complex way)
  • Knowledge of directory services (Active Directory/Open Directory)
  • Provide end user training for corporate-facing systems and solutions
  • Be expected to work during both normal business hours and maintenance/emergency windows outside of normal hours
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be willing to travel: 30% local (within 2 hours), 30% national - may increase with customer growth
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical role designing, deploying and supporting enterprise-class technology solutions
  • CCNA Wireless preferred
  • Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills
  • Strong process management skills
  • Ability to focus on objectives while being detail-oriented
  • Understanding of physical network infrastructure requirements for mid-sized data network
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to present network diagrams to team members and non technical staff
  • Experience with Confluence, Asana and Jira for task management (highly preferred)
  • Experience with Cisco and Meraki VPN configurations
